Greenhouse

Last week on Monday Room 18 made greenhouses it was really fun.  First we got a piece of paper to draw over when we finished we  cut it out .  At the bottom of the paper it said Greenhouse at the top it said your name .  We got  a snap-lock  and wet paper towel
and and 4 cotton balls. Then we put them in the bag we did not put soil it.Then we got 6 pinto beans and put them in the bag we put them in the front of the bag.

Migration and Hibernation


I learnt that bears sleep in the winter when it is cold.  I think it's interesting how
the birds fly in a V shape.



Add numbers with coins



I was learning to add coins. I needed to add the coins up. Ones with dollars say one and two dollars on them. The ones that are the cents have the round cents on them. It was tricky to do the cents because it was harder to count them.

Speed and agility

Yesterday Room 18 went to Youth Town.  We had it at the field.  We were learning about speed
 and agility.  We played cat and mouse you need cones and two lines of people.   One line of people
are the cats and the other line of people are the mice.  I had fun playing the game.

Rounding to 10



I was learning to round to 10. I learnt that 5 more then add one more to the 10s then if it is 4 or less you leave the 10s the same. It was easy to put the numbers together because I can put the numbers and choose them.


Plurals with s and es





I was learning to add  es and s to finished the words. I know to put es at the end of words when
there is a ch,x,s,sh.

WALT: plurals with s




A plural is like if there is one apple then another apple comes it is apples.

Gosling nest


Today room 18 made nests.  We went outside and collected leaves.  We drew a plan in our sketching book.  We used leaves and a carton and a container.  


Maori language week



  On maori language week room 18 was learning to count in maori. Me and Tiffany were korero mai which means talking in  slow motion.
